Since globalization has caused so much damage, why aren't we fighting it?
Globalization has resulted in a breakdown of families and morals worldwide. Family ties are weakened and the bad parts of Western culture have spread to other parts of the world. For example, chastity and faithfulness used to be valued in the majority of African cultures, but over the past several decades loose Western morals that are permissive of premarital sex and adultery have spread to Africa, and has therefore been a major factor the spread of HIV (poverty being the other). Also, globalization has resulted in more poverty and starvation. For example, because of commercial mass-produced crops subsistence farmers can't afford to sell their crops anymore, and in Thailand, this problem has made farm girls desperate enough to turn to prostitution for money to support their families. Globalization certainly has had a terrible impact on wildlife and the environment as well. Family and the environment are both very important to me and it sickens me to see the world collapsing like this
